Track

For the last three days, we have spend our afternoons at Gary Berry Stadium. It is that time of year, the District Track Classic. The kids have Monday and Tuesday to qualify for the finals on Wednesday. Layne was running in two races--the 100M hurdles and the 300M hurdles. On Monday she qualified in the 100M hurdles and Tuesday just missed for the 300M hurdles.

Here she is in action. It had to be something like what a athletes goes through for the Olympics!! :) I am just so proud of her for going out there and jumping over those crazy hurdles!

So--the video below is Layne running the finals of the 100M Hurdles (she is in lane 8--which is the bottom most lane--when the video is sideways). She tied for 6th place. As you can see, Heath turned the camera and we just can't figure out how to rotate a video. For now, just tilt your head and if you know how to rotate a video--please, please let me know.

My challenge tomorrow is to take Layne's lead and not be afraid to run the hurdles!!
